This position leads daily inventory control operations to ensure accuracy, compliance, and smooth distribution center performance. The role involves guiding teams, analyzing inventory results, and developing improvements that support operational excellence, ultimately strengthening customer satisfaction and supporting Academy’s mission. Responsibilities include implementing procedures, partnering with DC leaders, and driving initiatives that reduce inaccuracies. The manager will oversee audits, internal controls, and documentation to keep processes aligned with expectations, with daily opportunities to influence strategy, support teams, and enhance accuracy across the network.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred
• 5+ years of experience in inventory, distribution, or operational procedures
• 2+ years of supervisory experience
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate across shifts and divisions
• Ability to facilitate change and make strategic decisions with limited information
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
• Proficiency in MS Office, WMS, AS/400, and Sterling Commerce
• A team-first attitude; while your core duties are your priority, you're happy to step in wherever you're needed
• Constant standing, walking, sitting, climbing, and repetitive motions
• Frequent kneeling, crouching, crawling, grasping, and pushing/pulling
• Ability to push and pull 5 to 40 pounds and lift 2 to 25 pounds
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Regular in-office attendance is required
