About The Position

As an Inventory Control Manager, you will manage the procurement, inventory, and optimization of materials necessary for our operations. Reporting to the Plant Materials and Planning Manager, you will work closely with a small team and internal clients, to ensure materials are available when needed, support inventory management, and contribute to the overall efficiency of our operations. A key aspect of this role includes ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations related to inventory and financial reporting.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in materials management, procurement, inventory control, or a related field.
  • Experience in manufacturing or operations environments is preferred.
  • 1 – 2 years managing a team.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactive attitude and the ability to take initiative.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance requirements related to inventory management and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Oracle ERP systems or inventory management software is a plus.
  • Bi-lingual English & Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and maintain optimal inventory levels to support production while avoiding excess stock.
  • Implement and monitor inventory controls.
  • Supervise a small team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure effective material handling and process adherence.
  • Analyze material costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality.
  • Continuously seek and implement improvements in materials handling and inventory management processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ensure adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley regulations by maintaining accurate records, implementing controls, and participating in audits related to inventory and materials management.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for inventory, orders, and supplier interactions.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
