About The Position

The Inventory Control I is responsible for ensuring that company inventory is properly and securely stored and recorded, from time of receipt until use or shipment. This role involves adhering to security and safety policies, performing daily housekeeping tasks, and communicating material status information. The position requires conducting inventory counts, verifying item storage, location, and quantity using both manual and electronic systems. Responsibilities also include loading and unloading inventory, utilizing handling equipment, and performing inventory functions such as pulling, packing, delivering, and staging inventory. Accurate database entry is crucial to ensure physical counts match electronic records. This job has no supervisory responsibilities but carries the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned tasks.

Requirements

  • Ability to enter data accurately into databases, follow processes, perform basic mathematical computations, and write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to learn and understand corporate policies and procedures and how they relate to Yulista’s goals.
  • Ability to operate general office equipment such as fax, phone, scanner, printer, etc.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to detect unobvious facts and issues, and exercise resourcefulness in resolving problems.
  • Ability to multi-task and perform duties with minimal supervision.
  • High degree of self-motivation, independent work skills, excellent interpersonal skills, customer service skills, and trustworthy.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to evaluate data and consider decision impact across multiple areas.
  • Strong decision analysis and problem-solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions.
  • Basic to Intermediate computer skills, specifically using Microsoft Office Suite and Deltek CostPoint, with an ability to learn additional skills and software programs.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent with at least 6 months of related work experience preferred.
  • Ability to deal with physical demands to include warehouse environment, walking, bending, stooping, and lifting inventory items up to and at times exceeding 50 pounds with appropriate safety requirements.
  • Detail oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills, analytical skills, ability to apply logic with good follow through, and leadership skills.
  • Must be reliable and responsible with abilities to work independently and commitment to work weekends and any overtime as needed.
  • Ability to pass a drug and background screening.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with CostPoint and Cognos preferred.
  • Previous experience operating a forklift preferred.
  • Previous experience conducting physical inventory counts preferred.
  • Strong academic performance if a current student.

Responsibilities

  • Perform task in accordance with property, quality, and regulatory requirements
  • Perform various daily housekeeping tasks, responsible for maintaining work and storage areas in a neat and orderly fashion
  • Perform other various administrative duties as needed, assigned and/or required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization
  • Communicate and coordinate material status information to designated personnel.
  • Conduct inventory counts, verify item storage, location, quantity, etc. Responsible for control and accuracy of material and records using both manual and electronic inventory control systems.
  • Load and unload inventory as necessary. Utilize hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from aircraft, trucks, trains, etc. within the storage facility.
  • Perform inventory functions by pulling, packing, delivering, staging inventory to and from production floor and order picking.
  • Accurate database entry to ensure physical counts match electronic records
  • Responsible for conducting a full physical inventory of piece part material line items against inventory reports.
  • Verifying part number, description, location, lot number, quantity, inventory abbreviation, check-off report, and affix identifying marker.
  • Responsible for conducting a full physical inventory accounting for equipment asset items verifying property tag number, location, check-off report, and affix identifying marker.
  • Report discrepancies to Inventory Control Personnel.
  • Verify Clerical Computations against physical counts and identifying / noting any adjustments.
