About The Position

The Inventory Control Coordinator oversees and maintains inventory for the Fire Rescue Department. The schedule for this full-time position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
One (1) year of experience in inventory control, medical supply distribution, warehouse operations, or supply management involving inventory tracking, stocking, ordering, and maintaining accurate electronic records.
Valid Florida Driver License or must obtain within 30 days of establishing residency in Florida.
Must have or be able to obtain within 90 days certification in FEMA National Incident Management System (NIMS) courses: IS-100.c: Introduction to the Incident Command System (ICS) IS-700.b: An Introduction to the National Incident Management System
Requires a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
The job involves frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
The job requires frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, balancing, throwing, twisting, and reaching above shoulders, and occasional crawling and climbing.
The job requires the completion of tasks that involve simple grasping, pushing, pulling, fine manual manipulation, typing, operating foot controls/levers, driving automotive equipment, and working in darkness.
The job requires normal visual acuity and field of vision, depth perception and color vision, hearing, and speaking.
Must successfully pass a criminal background check, pre-employment physical examination, and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

Prior working knowledge and use of Operative IQ® (Inventory Operations Management Software) preferred.
Knowledge of inventory control principles, including receiving, stocking, issuing, rotating, and tracking inventory.
Ability to accurately enter, retrieve, and maintain data in computerized inventory management systems.
Ability to identify inventory discrepancies, investigate variances, and recommend corrective action.
Ability to prioritize workload, maintain accurate inventory records, and manage multiple inventory requests while ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained.
Excellent customer service, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and accurate reports using proper grammar, punctuation, and format.
Ability to maintain courteous and effective relations with County staff, elected officials, community interest groups and the public.
Must have strong working knowledge of computers and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite of Products (i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).

Responsibilities

Drives and/or operates a county vehicle or equipment and must obey all safety policies, and roadway rules and laws.
Maintains inventory, reorders, restocks, and establishes inventory for fire stations and vehicles.
Conducts routine physical inventory counts, reconciles discrepancies, and maintains accurate inventory records.
Generates necessary reports for parts, as needed.
Performs routine office tasks including, but not limited to, answering phones, relaying messages, data entry and filing.
Picks up and delivers vehicles and materials.
Oversees proper disposal of expired inventory within the department.
Performs other duties as required.
All employees will be required to work before, during, or after an emergency. During an emergency, employees may temporarily be assigned to work and perform duties outside the normal scope of their position, location, and work schedule to fit the needs of the County and its citizens.
Emergency response duties may also include driving and/or operating a county vehicle or equipment and employees must obey all safety policies, and roadway rules and laws.
