About The Position

Valvoline Global Operations is hiring for a Shipping Coordinator/Inventory Control Coordinator. The Shipping Coordinator processes customer orders, coordinates outbound shipments, and ensures delivery accuracy. This role serves as the key contact for Customer Service regarding delivery issues and works closely with logistics and plant teams to support on-time fulfillment. It also provides backup support for other facility functions as needed.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of experience in inventory control or warehouse operations. An associate’s or bachelor’s degree is preferred. Candidates should be proficient in Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and Teams; familiarity with SAP or another ERP system is highly preferred. The role may require lifting up to 40 pounds and involves 0–10% travel.

Requirements

• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced distribution environment.
• May be required to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Travel requirement: 0–10%.

Responsibilities

• Process transactions and monitor inbound and outbound deliveries.
• Serve as the point of contact for customer service representatives regarding customer delivery issues, concerns, changes, requests, and customer or sales pickups.
• Provide backup support for other functions as required by the facility manager or supervisor.
• Process customer orders to meet requested shipping dates.
• Use TMS to schedule pickups.
• Sign in outbound trucks and bill them out.
• Communicate daily with the Plant Manager, Distribution Supervisor, customer service representatives, and logistics team.
