About The Position

Under direct supervision, the Inventory Control Coordinator assists with inventory control and process improvement activities within the Distribution Center. Contributes towards achieving a high degree of inventory accuracy and operational efficiency. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in inventory control or related field.
  • Intermediate knowledge of distribution center procedures, policies and guidelines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and the ability to comprehend work instructions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with members across the organization.
  • Ability to work within a team environment and demonstrate professional behavior.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, handle multiple tasks and to work within timelines.
  • Proficiency with computers, with strong knowledge of word processing and computerized spreadsheets.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with accuracy.
  • Ability to accurately perform intermediate mathematical and statistical calculations and to use a weight counting scale.

Nice To Haves

  • APICS CPIM certification or similar training preferred.
  • Knowledge of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Identifies process improvement opportunities in inventory management through root-cause analysis and assists in deployment of new processes.
  • Researches and resolves inventory discrepancies.
  • Performs non-cycle count-related inventory adjustments adhering to inventory control guidelines.
  • Performs various data analysis on inventory levels and transactional data.
  • Supports development and maintenance of inventory management SOPs and training documents.
  • Works with Customer service to return RMA to stock.
  • May be asked to type routine correspondence, reports, various forms, and tables from handwritten notes or general verbal instructions. Makes changes in grammar, punctuation and spelling as needed.
  • May establish and maintain record keeping and filing systems. May open, sort, prioritize, and distribute mail.
  • Coordinates and processes daily cycle counts performed by Cycle Count Clerks.
  • Coordinates quarterly inventory and adjustments of raw materials.
