About The Position

The Inventory Control Coordinator works with Merchandise Senior Leadership to monitor, track, and ensure the proper flow of goods and to meet/exceed financial goals. This role involves accurately processing department daily paperwork, maintaining an accurate filing system, and overseeing yearly IM&R procedures. The coordinator will provide analysis of category sales, ensure the proper flow of goods including new product, reorders, vendor programs, and sundry items. They will monitor and maintain inventory control and location profitability, such as COGs through effective execution of inventory and labor management. Additionally, the role involves maintaining visual displays, assisting with store sets and remerchandising, and ensuring location cleanliness. Communication of stock level concerns, recommendations on assortment issues, product replacement, and exit strategies are key. The coordinator will also assist in managing inventory levels, sales rate analysis, and pricing issue resolution, ensuring all merchandise is properly and accurately price marked. Management of daily sub-department labor, implementation of cycle counts to verify inventory accuracy, and assistance with the department Pin Trading program are also responsibilities. The role requires practicing safe work habits and supporting SEAS philosophies.

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Must have at least two (2) years of internal Merchandise Leadership experience with no significant performance deficiencies within that period
  • Must have availability that meets the business needs of the position; including ability to work a flexible schedule, to include nights, weekends, and holidays and abide by our Holiday and Availability agreement
  • Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced work environment; must be able to work independently
  • Must possess a high level of problem-solving, analytical, verbal and written communication skills
  • Must have proficient mathematical skills and be able to process monetary transactions with accuracy, specifically an aptitude for retail math is necessary
  • Must possess a knowledge of computer programs and databases including Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook required
  • Able to push/pull/lift/carry 50 lbs or more on an occasional basis; frequent extensive walking, standing, occasional climbing; work environment varies from indoors in air-conditioned space to outdoor work in all weather conditions (i.e. heat, humidity, rain and cold).

  • Must be able to successfully complete all legal, company and department training requirements to include but not limited to passing required tests and certifications within established timelines

  • Must be willing to comply and ensure all team members comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards

Responsibilities

  • Accurately process all department daily paperwork (inventory movement, damages, etc.)
  • Maintain accurate filing system throughout the year, and oversee yearly IM&R procedures
  • Provides analysis of category sales by department level.
  • Ensures the proper flow of goods; including new product, reorders, vendor programs, and sundry items.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory control and location profitability, such as COGs through effective execution of inventory and labor management
  • Maintain the visual displays to include overhead displays, display cases and windows, feature and outside displays throughout the Merchandise locations
  • Assist at store sets and remerchandising per corporate and department merchandising standards
  • Maintain location cleanliness and visual displays
  • Communicates stock level concerns and provides recommendations on assortment issues, product replacement, and exit strategies.
  • Assists in managing inventory levels, sales rate analysis and pricing issue resolution
  • Ensure that all merchandise is properly and accurately price marked
  • Manage daily sub-department labor to accommodate changing business needs, daily break rotations and daily staffing assignments
  • Implements cycle counts to verify accuracy of inventory and identify process issues
  • Assist with maintenance of the department Pin Trading program, including lanyard and board refreshes, and Pin Event preparations
  • Consistently practice safe work habits including the use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) lifting and reporting unsafe situations
