About The Position

The job of the Inventory Control Clerk is to manage the secured flow and chain of custody for precious alloy and materials into and out of the Denton Plant. The attendant does this by weighing and recording all precious metals as they are both received and issued out of the vault for ring fabrication or to other locations. In addition, the attendant is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory of precious metals and allocating its use for casting, re-alloying, and other production uses. This individual is responsible for the daily collection and processing of gold scrap from the production floor along with verifying that weights/quantities are correct, while conducting and reporting weekly cycle counts of precious alloys, analyzing/correcting inventory variances and being involved in quarterly inventories. The Inventory Control Clerk is also responsible for issuing out manufacturing supplies to the shop floor, managing inventory levels by keeping log of supplies issued, completing cycle counts on manufacturing supplies to ensure accurate inventory levels, accepting shipments on the dock and delivering items to various departments, and assisting the materials department with other tasks as needed. Accurate perpetual inventory and inventory record keeping accuracy is a must for this position.

Able to evaluate/analyze information accurately with a high level of detail and focus
Able to minimize inventory levels on hand without stock outs
Able to perform mathematical calculations
Able to lift 50+ lbs. constantly
Able to operate pallet jack
Able to follow and maintain security controls related to the gold crib
Computer literate in Excel, Word, Outlook
Able to work scheduled hours to include overtime

Responsibilities

Manage the secured flow and chain of custody for precious alloy and materials into and out of the Denton Plant.
Weigh and record all precious metals as they are received and issued out of the vault.
Maintain accurate inventory of precious metals and allocate its use for casting, re-alloying, and other production uses.
Collect and process gold scrap from the production floor, verifying weights/quantities.
Conduct and report weekly cycle counts of precious alloys.
Analyze and correct inventory variances.
Participate in quarterly inventories.
Issue manufacturing supplies to the shop floor.
Manage inventory levels of manufacturing supplies.
Complete cycle counts on manufacturing supplies.
Accept shipments on the dock and deliver items to various departments.
Assist the materials department with other tasks as needed.
