About The Position

White Cap is hiring an Inventory Control Associate to support accurate inventory records and quality control. The role audits inventory during daily order processing, researches and resolves discrepancies, assists with inventory accuracy, and completes and reviews cycle counts. It also involves receiving vendor products for quality checks, communicating potential quality issues to buyers, maintaining inventory and quality-control manuals, and following company safety procedures. The position requires lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds and includes other duties as assigned. The preferred schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The stated Connecticut pay range is $20.40–$28.10 per hour.

Requirements

Generally, 2–5 years of experience.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Forklift experience.
Experience with WMS software.
Knowledge of construction and industrial products.
RF scanner experience.

Responsibilities

Audit inventory to keep systems in balance during daily order processing.
Research and resolve issues, adjustments, and discrepancies.
Ensure compliance with established internal control procedures.
Assist in maintaining inventory accuracy.
Follow up on previous inventory adjustments.
Complete and review cycle counts.
Maintain time control tables consistent with base tables, key, and review allocations.
Receive products from vendors and check them for quality.
Communicate potential quality issues to buyers.
Maintain quality-control and inventory-control manuals.
Follow company safety policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
