About The Position

Ferguson, a Fortune 500 company with approximately 36,000 associates across 1,700 locations, is seeking an Inventory Control Associate. This role is responsible for rental sales & operations planning, including coordination with the sales team, intermediaries, and internal customers. The associate will coordinate rental repairs and unit delivery needs with customers and sales to create a cohesive and high-performing business model. This position involves delivering job responsibilities following defined standards and procedures, and solving routine problems with clear solutions using established job activities and processes.

Requirements

  • 1+ Years Sales experience preferred.
  • Applies basic job knowledge of systems and procedures that are relevant to own job.
  • Mechanically inclined.
  • HDPE & McElroy knowledge preferred.
  • Technical and Professional Skills: Inventory Management for Rental Fleet, Data Analysis & Forecasting, Teamwork, Problem Solving and Detail-Oriented.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.
  • Ability to effectively communicate in writing and verbally.
  • Ability to efficiently operate computers, tablets, and mobile devices.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Power BI, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, Access, Word, Etc.).
  • Ability to effectively utilize FEL’s inventory and logistics system (Trilogie).
  • Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct usage of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • This includes wearing a safety harness with a maximum weight capacity of 400 lbs.
  • Pre-employment drug and background screening required.

Responsibilities

  • Completes advanced duties associated with rental fleet inventory management on a day-to-day basis via Power BI based monitoring.
  • Delivers rental inventory support to specific regions, which may align with specific types of business and/or customers.
  • Completes complex or new tasks, and assists the sales team with own technical knowledge.
  • Has a mechanical sense to repair and upkeep rental fleet.
  • Works closely with various departments such as field sales, Category Management, customers, and blended partners.
  • Provides applicable inventory control measures to ensure the rental fleet is monitored and working correctly.
  • Works through Outlook, Teams, Excel & other various platforms to solution and communicate solutions for external customers.
  • Adheres to Company compliance and Health Safety and Environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and requirements.
  • Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
