About The Position

Custom Filters Direct is upgrading its inventory-management software and is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Associate to join our team once the new system is implemented. We are beginning the recruitment and interview process now and expect to fill the position within approximately six weeks. The selected candidate will have an anticipated start date in late September 2026. This position is focused specifically on maintaining accurate inventory records, tracking product movement, conducting inventory counts, and resolving discrepancies. It does not supervise warehouse employees or manage daily shipping and receiving operations.

Requirements

  • Previous inventory-control experience is required.
  • Experience using inventory-management, ERP, or warehouse-management software is strongly preferred.
  • Experience performing cycle counts and inventory reconciliation.
  • Strong computer and data-entry skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to investigate discrepancies and identify their cause.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of inventory accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturing, warehouse, or distribution experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records within the inventory-management system.
  • Record inventory movements, transfers, adjustments, and completed production.
  • Perform routine cycle counts and assist with physical inventory counts.
  • Compare physical inventory quantities with system records.
  • Research and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, and incorrect transactions.
  • Verify product quantities, locations, item numbers, and inventory status.
  • Monitor finished-goods inventory and communicate potential shortages or discrepancies.
  • Prepare and maintain inventory reports and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with the implementation and ongoing use of the updated inventory system.
  • Work with production, warehouse, and management teams to maintain accurate inventory information.
  • Identify recurring inventory issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain organized inventory records and follow all established procedures.
  • Follow company safety and operational requirements.
