About The Position

Midwest Hose is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Inventory Control Assistant to support daily warehouse operations. This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to start a career in inventory management, logistics, or supply chain. The Inventory Control Assistant will help maintain accurate inventory records, assist with stock organization, and support overall warehouse efficiency.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel or similar systems preferred)
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• Willingness to learn and take on new tasks
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• Standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment

Responsibilities

• Assist with tracking and maintaining accurate inventory levels
• Perform regular cycle counts and help reconcile discrepancies
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments
• Label, organize, and store inventory in designated locations
• Support order picking, packing, and shipping as needed
• Update inventory data in company systems or spreadsheets
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment
• Communicate inventory issues or shortages to supervisors
• Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines
