About The Position

Sanford Health, the largest rural health system in the United States, is dedicated to transforming the health care experience and providing access to world-class health care in America’s heartland. This position is responsible for overseeing the perpetual inventory in assigned warehouses, maintaining a computer-based inventory management system/stock master, Periodic Automatic Replenishment (PAR) levels and managing daily cycle count activity. The role involves working closely with clinical leaders, physicians, and department staff to ensure the availability of necessary supplies and equipment for procedures. It also includes resolving backorder problems, coordinating new product trials, reviewing requests to add items, overseeing product recalls, and assisting with end-of-fiscal-year audits.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Associate degree or post-secondary education and previous inventory experience preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel required.
  • Inventory management systems knowledge helpful.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the perpetual inventory in assigned warehouses.
  • Maintaining a computer-based inventory management system/stock master.
  • Managing Periodic Automatic Replenishment (PAR) levels.
  • Managing daily cycle count activity.
  • Working with the procure-to-pay team to resolve backorder problems with items.
  • Informing end-users of delays in product availability.
  • Assisting in coordination of new product trials with physicians, clinical staff and vendor representatives.
  • Assisting with product conversions and standardization initiatives in assigned warehouse locations.
  • Reviewing requests to add items to assigned locations and informing customers of the acceptance or denial of the requests.
  • Overseeing product recalls in assigned warehouses.
  • Providing information on recalled items to purchasing in a timely manner.
  • Achieving inventory turnover rates and fill rates to customers of 99 percent as related to perpetual inventory (depending on location).
  • Assisting in end-of-fiscal-year audits by outside auditing firms.
  • Managing other year-end duties for a successful fiscal year-end inventory of assigned warehouses.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
