About The Position

The Inventory Control Assistant is responsible for warehouse inventory maintenance and reconciliation daily. This role involves performing daily inventory counts, researching and reconciling daily inventory variances, and reconciling daily, monthly, and annual inventory to the SAP computer system. The assistant will also identify and report close-dated or mislabeled product, coordinate inbound and outbound dunnage loads, and reconcile open purchase orders. Additionally, they will assist in invoice management, approve STO/PO corrections, and submit Bottler Resolution Forms. Compliance with internal control requirements and documentation storage is essential, as is adherence to product quality guidelines and product returns. The role is responsible for warehouse traceability and quality hold processes, and collaborates with TMS on scheduling carriers and managing claims for tipped or frozen loads.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • A minimum of one year of work experience is required.
  • Prior experience in warehouse or inventory required.
  • Strong computer and database skills, including SAP, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily inventory count. Research and reconcile daily inventory variances
  • Reconcile the daily, monthly, and annual inventory to the SAP computer system.
  • Identifies and reports close-dated product and any product that is mislabeled with incorrect BBE date as needed.
  • Coordinates inbound and outbound dunnage loads daily and weekly.
  • Reconciles open purchase orders daily and weekly. Assists in invoice management. Approves all STO/PO corrections. Submits Bottler Resolution Forms (BRF).
  • Complies with all internal control requirements and documentation storage.
  • Adheres to product quality guidelines including product returns.
  • Responsible for warehouse traceability and quality hold processes and routines.
  • Collaborates with TMS on scheduling all carriers and any claims tipped loads/frozen product.
