About The Position

As an Inventory Control Analyst, you will assist the Buyer/Planner or Manager with inventory planning, forecasting, and delivery scheduling to meet target inventory levels to prevent delays in production. In addition, ensure inventory levels are accurate for raw materials, finished product, and rework inventory. Recommend adjustments to inventory levels and reorder points based on actual history, lead time changes and supplier specific parameters. You will be located at PPG's Richmond, VA plant, and report to the Site and Plant Manager. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration or related field
5 years' experience in supply chain management, inventory management, forecasting, and procurement.
Strong analytical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in MS Office

Responsibilities

Collaborate with QA, Operations, Shipping, Receiving and Logistics to ensure that inventory levels are available to achieve the daily production goals.
Provide data/input to the Supply Chain Team and Logistics to promote accuracy on inventory levels, reorder points, and improved material delivery schedules internally and externally.
Lead for annual inventory process to ensure all counts are completed in the Plant and all outside warehouse locations.
Take on the responsibilities of the Buyer/Planner or Manager when they are unavailable.
Seek continuous improvement opportunities for processes, systems, and best practices.
Be an advocate for Safety while following all safety policies and procedures.
