About The Position

Penske Logistics is looking for an Inventory Clerk to join their team at the Obetz, OH location. This role is ideal for safety-conscious individuals with a positive attitude who aim to excel in a warehouse environment. Under the direction of the inventory control manager, the Inventory Clerk will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring that the inventory in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) aligns with the physical inventory at the facility. This is a new operation located in Obetz, OH.

Requirements

2 years of general office experience required
1 year of customer service experience required
High School diploma or equivalent required
Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required
Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening.

Responsibilities

Ensuring system count matches physical inventory by resolving discrepancies at location and pallet level, looking for missing product, updating WMS, and researching/documenting root causes.
Ensuring proper rotation of product by analyzing reports, physically moving product as required, and researching/documenting root causes.
Accurately receiving inventory by working with checkers, auditing inbound receipts, and accurately inducting x-dock into inventory.
Data setup and validation by accurately inputting data into WMS and other applications, and auditing existing data for inaccuracies.
Managing unsalable inventory to resolution by accurately documenting product recalls, segregating recalled product, working with procurement on product expiration and holds, and accurately recording product dispositions.
Ensuring appropriate signage is accurately located in the distribution center.
Process analysis and documentation by working with inventory management to document and train inventory procedures, assisting with daily and weekly reports, assisting in the development and implementation of special projects and tasks, and performing other tasks as assigned by a supervisor.
