About The Position

Empire Packing is seeking an Inventory Clerk to join their team. This role is responsible for managing inventory levels, receiving and unloading materials, and ensuring production quality and safety standards are met. The ideal candidate will have good attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work cooperatively with others.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and unloading of incoming materials
• Comparison of information on packing slips
• Monitoring and maintaining current inventory levels
• Sorting and counting packages, labels, totes, etc.
• Operating a pallet jack or forklift for unloading product
• Receiving product and placing it in the proper location
• Performing a physical count of inventory
• Restocking items as necessary
• Informing the purchasing agent of low-level inventories
• Practicing all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
• Following all Safe Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP’s)
• Adhering to all safety regulations and practices
• Maintaining a safe work environment inside/outside for all associates by picking up all debris, trash and etc.
• Wearing required uniform as needed
• Providing good personal hygiene
• Performing additional duties as assigned to meet demands of daily production scheduling
• Responsible for production quality
• Ensuring all tools and supplies needed to get the job done are available
• Notifying Lead when issues arise
• Assuring compliance with all company safety rules
• Following and monitoring proper safety equipment usage and safety practices
• Following established programs, policies and practices to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements
