About The Position

Penske Logistics is looking for Inventory Clerk associates to become part of an excellent team at our Grand Prairie, TX location! This is a 2nd Shift position scheduled Monday-Friday from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM, with overtime and weekends as needed. The wage is $23.15 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour shift differential. Penske Logistics is a wholly owned subsidiary of Penske Truck Leasing, providing supply chain management and logistics services globally. They deliver value through design, planning, and execution in transportation, warehousing, and freight management.

Requirements

• 2 years of general office experience required
• 1 year of customer service experience required
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required
• Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills required
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening.

Nice To Haves

• No prior general warehouse experience required, but strongly preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Flexible to work overtime preferred
• Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required
• AS400 experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Responsible for completing cycle counts, random audits and reconciliations
• Resolve inventory problems in a timely manner
• Research and reconcile product discrepancies/variances of over/under amounts and damaged product
• Conduct searches in order to locate misclassified inventory
• Escalates issues timely and directly to supervisor
• Completes all other duties as assigned by Supervisor
• Have the ability to operate the following pieces of equipment: Reach Truck Operator, Double Pallet Jack, Cherry Picker
