About The Position

The Inventory Buyer is responsible for purchasing stocking inventory for HVAC products for all companies and divisions, maintaining proper inventory levels and product mix to support the sales effort of the organization. This role involves managing a significant average inventory investment across multiple companies and branches. Requirements

High School Diploma required.
1 year or more of progressive sales or purchasing experience.
2 years of experience in Microsoft 365.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and as a team member.

Nice To Haves

Associates degree in Business Administration or Finance preferred but not required.
HVAC industry experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Purchase stocking products from various vendors and manufacturers for all companies and/or branches.
Maintain system ordering controls to ensure proper inventory levels.
Communicate with branch managers and sales managers to maintain proper product mix at all locations.
Negotiate pricing, payment terms, cash discounts, and incentive rebates with vendors.
Replenish/remix stock between companies and branches as necessary to maintain proper stock levels and product mix.
Visit branches periodically to discuss inventory/purchasing issues.
Formulate solutions for eliminating overstock/obsolescence on various product lines.
Make sound decisions in the company's best interests.
Perform other duties as assigned.
