About The Position

Intersection is seeking a detail-oriented, analytical, and solutions-driven Advertising Inventory Associate to join our midwest team in Chicago. This role sits at the center of the advertising campaign lifecycle and plays a critical part in supporting revenue generation, operational execution, and inventory strategy across our transit and out-of-home advertising portfolio. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving complex logistical puzzles, and can balance day-to-day execution with a proactive mindset toward process improvement and operational efficiency. In this role, you will help manage and optimize advertising inventory across multiple media formats and markets, ensuring campaigns are accurately scheduled, operationally executable, and aligned with client expectations. You’ll work closely with Sales, Operations, Client Success, and other cross-functional teams to support campaign execution while helping identify opportunities to improve workflows, systems, and team processes over time. Requirements

  • 1–3+ years of relevant experience in advertising, media, operations, logistics, inventory management, project coordination, or a related field.
  • Highly detail-oriented and exceptionally organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and comfortable taking ownership in a fast-moving environment.
  • Analytical thinker who enjoys problem-solving and working through operational complexities.
  • Communicate clearly and collaborate effectively across teams and personalities.
  • Adaptable and comfortable navigating evolving processes, systems, and business priorities.
  • Curious about process improvement, operational efficiency, and leveraging technology to help teams scale more effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Salesforce, Google Workspace, or inventory/order management systems is preferred.
  • Experience with workflow automation, process optimization, reporting tools, AI-assisted workflows, or operational systems improvements is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize advertising inventory across multiple media formats and markets, ensuring campaigns are accurately scheduled, operationally executable, and aligned with client expectations.
  • Support campaign execution while helping identify opportunities to improve workflows, systems, and team processes.
  • Manage availability requests, inventory holds, and campaign scheduling across assigned markets and media types.
  • Coordinate campaign execution across internal systems while ensuring accuracy, operational feasibility, and alignment with client expectations.
  • Communicate proactively with Sales and Operations regarding campaign changes, scheduling conflicts, posting instructions, and execution timelines.
  • Provide strategic inventory recommendations and maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Troubleshoot operational and inventory-related issues with a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Identify workflow inefficiencies, process gaps, or opportunities for operational improvements within existing systems and processes.
  • Cross-train across markets and products to support broader team coverage and operational resilience.
