About The Position
The Assistant III supports daily warehouse and materials operations at client, with a strong focus on inventory control, material accuracy, and production support. This role ensures materials are available, accurately tracked, and safely handled, while supporting internal customers, third party logistics providers, and production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in: Inventory management and control
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in: Warehouse operations
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in: Forklift operation
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in: Customer service and inventory systems
Nice To Haves
- Associate or Bachelor's degree
- Experience supporting manufacturing, production, or supply chain environments
- Strong attention to detail and data integrity
- Proven ability to investigate inventory variances and improve processes
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the crib, loading bays, and storage areas
- Coordinate activities with third-party logistics and warehouse service providers
- Interface with internal customers to resolve material shortages, supply discrepancies, and machine downtime situations
- Issue materials to production as required, ensuring accurate system transactions and traceability
- Receive and inspect incoming goods for quality, quantity, and compliance with purchase order and safety requirements
- Perform routine and ad-hoc cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy; investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions
- Maintain accurate inventory records in materials management systems and virtual crib platforms
- Monitor inventory levels to support reorder points, reduce excess inventory, and prevent stockouts
- Ensure proper material labeling, storage location accuracy, and stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO where applicable)
- Support Point of Use (POU) delivery systems to production areas
- Track, locate, and expedite material deliveries as required
- Provide shift coverage on short notice as operational needs arise
- Ensure compliance with client Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures
