About The Position

As an Inventory and Logistics Technician, you support one of the world’s largest cloud computing infrastructures by ensuring that critical datacenter hardware is received, stored, tracked, and delivered accurately and on time. You work at the front line of cutting-edge technology, including AI-focused infrastructure, by managing inventory of components such as GPUs, supporting build and repair activities, and enabling reliable operations across multiple datacenter sites. This role combines hands-on warehouse work, data entry in inventory systems, and close collaboration with datacenter technicians and engineering operations teams.

Requirements

  • 0–2 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Ability to read and follow directions in English.
  • Ability to work overtime as required to support operational needs.
  • Capability to lift loads of up to 49 pounds and carry them for short distances.
  • Willingness and ability to participate in group lifts of 50 pounds or more when needed.
  • Ability to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
  • Ability to continuously climb and descend stairs safely at sites where stairs are present.
  • Ability to regularly walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Ability to coordinate body movements effectively when using tools or equipment.
  • Ability to reach and stretch to position equipment and fixtures while maintaining balance.
  • Stamina to perform physical tasks throughout the day without becoming overly tired.
  • Ability to push or pull heavy objects into position safely.
  • Comfort working in environments where noise levels can be moderate to loud.
  • Basic proficiency with computers and the ability to perform accurate data entry.
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to operational excellence.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using inventory management systems.
  • Understanding of inventory control methodology and best practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience with Excel data entry and pivot tables.
  • Experience working in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment, including reverse logistics processes.
  • Experience handling vendor or third-party delivery relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative and complete work without close supervision.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with technicians, engineering operations, infrastructure delivery teams, and external delivery partners.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor inventory levels to ensure that sufficient stock is available to support datacenter build, repair, and maintenance activities.
  • Receive incoming shipments and pallets, including GPU and other datacenter hardware, and accurately enter all items into the inventory management system.
  • Stage hardware and parts so that datacenter operations teams can efficiently install and use them.
  • Check out and issue parts to datacenter technicians and engineers, maintaining accurate records of all movements in and out of inventory.
  • Load and unload shipments as needed, including assisting with group lifts and moving heavy objects into position safely.
  • Transport parts and materials between different locations or sites within the datacenter campus as required.
  • Maintain precise, up-to-date records of all commodities, ensuring traceability and accountability for all inventory transactions.
  • Keep all workspaces, storage areas, and staging zones clean, organized, and safe, in line with high operational and safety standards.
  • Support reverse logistics processes, including handling failed parts, returns, and repairs in accordance with established procedures.
  • Collaborate closely with datacenter operations technicians, infrastructure delivery teams, third-party delivery vendors, and engineering operations to ensure smooth material flow.
  • Work both as part of a team across multiple sites and independently, managing tasks and priorities with minimal supervision.
  • Apply leadership principles such as delivering results, earning trust, and insisting on the highest standards in daily work, including timely ingestion of parts and maintaining workspace cleanliness.
  • Assist with general operations tasks in the building during downtime, which may include supporting installation and basic handling of equipment.
  • Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a strong culture of safety in warehouse and datacenter environments.
  • Adapt to a rotating schedule, including long shifts and potential holiday work, to support continuous datacenter operations.
