About The Position

The Inventory Control Coordinator aligns closely with the Purchasing Manager, Scheduling, Supply Chain Manager and Production & Warehouse teams in the area inventory management. The Inventory Control Coordinator is focused on helping maintain accurate inventories, tracking and Exceeding Customer Expectations in support of the overall goals, objectives, mission, and vision of the organization.

Requirements

  • Intermediate math and numeric aptitude required
  • Intermediate level of experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask and work in a very fast paced environment
  • Expertise in ERP and/or MRP systems
  • Proven team player and a sharp focus on customer service and satisfaction
  • Ability to successfully work both collaboratively and autonomously
  • A high level of trustworthiness and the ability to achieve integrity on all levels
  • Solid problem-solving ability
  • Detail orientated
  • 2-year degree or equivalent experience in inventory management or related field
  • 5-6 years of experience in inventory management and control

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment beneficial
  • Forecasting/planning experience beneficial

Responsibilities

  • Serve as liaison between production and warehouse
  • Locate and resolve inventory discrepancies
  • Inventory data management and organization
  • Inventory cycle count coordination and related adjustments to record into system
  • Coordinate and manage daily physical cycle counts, as well as reconcile reports if actual numbers are different
  • Ensure inventory data is up to date
  • Coordinating with management and personnel with regard to all inventory transactions and the input of such within system
  • Reconciliation of month end inventory
  • Investigate and correct discrepancies in reported quantities and locations of all inventories
  • Check date-sensitive products for expiration and facilitate removal or transfer of product as needed
  • Create and execute inventory control procedures and systems
  • Identify and resolve issues by analyzing and examining supply chain data
  • Review and approve inventory adjustment requests
  • Maintain inventory of any off-site inventories at storage locations
  • Meets or exceeds cycle count objectives and KPI’s each week/month
  • Assist with E&O process of raw materials, WIP and FG
  • Other tasks as assigned
  • Follow all guidelines and standards including but not limited to policies, procedures and practices
  • Maintain a professional, polite and courteous team approach working in a team environment
  • Sharp focus on safety and promoting a safe work environment. Report unsafe work conditions and practices. Support the near miss program
  • Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills

  • Develop and foster trusted relationship, both internally and externally, through meetings and various forms of communication including but not limited to telephone, e-mail, web based, and conference calls
  • Monitor and verify activities to ensure that finished goods and raw materials coming in and out of the facility meet food safety standards in addition to quality standards.
  • Comply with all company food safety and quality assurance procedures and data documented correctly at all times.
  • Report any product or process failures that could impact food safety of manufactured product to Quality.
