About The Position

One of the main divisions of the AJW Group is AJW Technique, a state-of-the-art component Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility with over 150 experienced and passionate technicians in Montreal. The Inventory Analyst is capable of playing both a strategic and operational role in managing our inventory. The successful candidate will actively contribute to optimizing inventory levels, improving processes, and ensuring data accuracy and reliability.

Requirements

  • 10 years of experience in procurement
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in inventory analysis, supply chain, or an MRO / repair shop environment
  • Experience with system implementation is a strong asset
  • Strong analytical skills (Excel, Power BI, or similar tools)
  • Good understanding of inventory planning concepts (min/max levels, reorder points)
  • Experience with ERP or inventory management systems
  • Bilingualism (French and English, both spoken and written) is required to ensure effective communication with internal and external stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Analyze inventory levels, consumption trends, and demand for parts, components, and consumables
  • Maintain optimal stock levels to support repair operations while minimizing excess and obsolescence
  • Establish relevant performance indicators as needed
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), such as accuracy, turnover, and stock availability
  • Identify slow-moving or obsolete items and recommend corrective actions
  • Perform cycle counts, analyze discrepancies, and ensure corrective actions are implemented
  • Ensure full traceability of parts throughout repair and restocking processes
  • Collaborate in defining Bills of Materials (BOM) and repair kits for standardized repairs
  • Design dashboards and produce reports to support decision-making
  • Analyze system data to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities
  • Actively participate in the implementation or enhancement of ERP systems
  • Develop and maintain system documentation and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Train users and act as a subject matter expert (SME) for inventory modules
