About The Position

The Inventory Analyst at Air Liquide plays a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the Logistics and manufacturing process within the Richmond plant. This position is responsible for guiding and overseeing daily inventory management and support logistics, optimizing workflows, and ensuring adherence to stringent safety and quality standards. This role acts as a central point of contact for operational activities in the pacific district, bridging the gap between planning, execution, and support functions, however is office based in the Richmond plant. This role requires proactive problem-solving, effective communication, and the ability to coordinate diverse tasks and resources to achieve production and logistical targets. Requirements

  • Degree in a related technical field with significant practical experience
  • 1-3 years in a manufacturing, process plant, or industrial operations environment.
  • Experience in industrial gas, chemical manufacturing, or a similar process-driven industry is highly preferred.
  • Efficient with various computer programs and softwares.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a lead role is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Support the operation in understanding and unwavering adherence to all plant safety rules, regulations, and company safety policies/procedures, including active participation in facility safety meetings, conducting inspections, and promoting a proactive safety culture.
  • Conduct operational checks of equipment, monitor performance, and make necessary adjustments to optimize production output and quality.
  • Identify and resolve potential scheduling conflicts and bottlenecks within the production process.
  • Communicate and manage any production-related backorders or delays with internal teams and local branches on a daily basis.
  • Manage daily cycle counts, inventory audits and reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Manage and maintain accurate inventory records, tracking stock levels of raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products.
  • Take corrective action for overages, shortages, damaged/incorrect items, or improper documentation, communicating issues to relevant teams.
  • Assist the shipping and receiving department by auditing incoming deliveries against bills of lading and packing slips, confirming paperwork accuracy, and validating or closing out system orders.
  • Manage the weekly incoming and outgoing Interbranch shipments and P&D Runs related to raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods, ensuring document and inventory control including closure of documents on a daily basis.
  • Implement and maintain inventory and shipping control procedures to optimize efficiency and minimize loss.
  • Review system data daily, enter data to keep databases up-to-date, and maintain all computerized systems and equipment to meet user needs, especially those related to production, inventory, and shipping.
  • Keep accurate records and maintain high housekeeping and organizational standards.
  • Prepare and analyze operational reports, tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for production, quality, safety, shipping, and inventory.
  • Identify areas for improvement, present findings to management, and recommend operational enhancements.
  • Help manage certain aspects of purchasing and invoicing activities for production-related supplies and services, including sourcing, requesting quotes, and generating purchase orders.
