Pay is hourly range $21.29 - $30.39. This is an average range for this position. Full time M-F in Office in Puyallup, WA Position will be primarily dealing with supplier and carrier claims (Claims experience a plus) Overview The Inventory Accounting Coordinator performs data entry and clerical duties related to inventory control, cost analysis and accounts payable.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalency plus 1 year of experience
  • Knowledge with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), federal regulatory guidelines, and organizational objectives
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets in creating pivot tables, develop charts, and complex formulas
  • Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures Cost Accounting and Finance principles.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree in Accounting or Finance with 1-2 years of experience preferred
  • Claims experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Set up and maintain inventory costing information
  • Prepare information and verify any changes to support accurate and efficient processing
  • Input and process transactions into electronic accounts receivable and billing systems
  • Research and resolve system vs. invoice pricing and quantity issues
  • Perform timely account reconciliation by verifying entries and comparing to balances
  • Confirm that the appropriate general ledger codes have been entered on each trade invoice
  • Ensure correct approval, coding, and matching of invoices/receipts
  • Maintain and update supplier information files
  • Provide excellent customer service in all interactions with internal and external customers, including Accounting team members, personnel from other divisions, vendors, suppliers, and other outside personnel
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
