About The Position

The Invasive Radiologic Technician is responsible for performing scrubbing duties, documentation of procedure on the hemodynamic system and operating the radiation equipment for all procedures performed in the Cardiac Catheterization/Neuro IR Lab. These include but are not limited to Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiology, Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology, Electrophysiology, and Neuro Radiology. The population includes newborns through young adults with congenital or acquired heart disease and arrhythmias.

Requirements

  • Required graduate from an AMA approved program Radiology Technology
  • Ability to relate and communicate positively, effectively and professionally with others
  • Ability to work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing and over the telephone
  • Ability to think critically
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments

  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Office e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
  • Radiologic Technologist -CA (CRT)
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist - CA Fluoroscopy permit (if candidate is from out of state, California Certified Radiologic Technologist Fluoroscopy must be obtained within 6 months of hire)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year Cath Lab experience
  • Knowledge of procedures and practices with diagnostic EP studies, RF/Cryo ablation, transesophageal pacing, and ICE
  • Identifying arrhythmias and using Micropace
  • Ability to configure pinning for catheter configuration
