POSITION SUMMARY: Provide technical assistance for selected diagnostic and interventional invasive procedures. Scrub assist for all diagnostic and interventional procedures, to include preparation and manipulation of catheters, guide-wires and other devices. Injection of contrast media and medications from the sterile field as directed and supervised by the physician. Documentation of procedures and patient information according to hospital policy. Support the mission, vision, and values of the organization.

Requirements

  • Graduate of AMA Approved School in Radiography
  • Registered by A.R.R.T./license by Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA).
  • BLS
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Radiography
  • 1 year Specialized Training

Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures
  • Scrub and circulate in cardiovascular, vascular, interventional radiology, and neurointerventional cases
  • Prepare and manage catheters, guidewires, balloons, stents, and specialty devices
  • Operate advanced imaging equipment
  • Document procedures accurately
  • Participate in an equitable call rotation with the procedural team
  • Provide technical assistance for selected diagnostic and interventional invasive procedures.
  • Scrub assist for all diagnostic and interventional procedures, to include preparation and manipulation of catheters, guide-wires and other devices.
