Technical skills Installation and repair of: Commercial DSC, DMP, Honeywell and Bosch alarm systems Security systems experience preferred Installation and repair of Cat5e and Cat 6 network cabling and its related pathway appliances including but not limited to J-hooks and cable trays. Be able to read blueprints and tech drawings to determine pathways and installation appliances. Be able to follow customer and company requirements in placement of fire stop when needed. Termination and cable runs should appear neat, tidy and be properly labeled to company standards. Strong communication skills are necessary between Technicians, Apprentices and Project Managers. Additional useful skills at all levels: The ability to install and troubleshoot WiFi and wired networks using industry standard routers and switches. Be able to learn on the job using logic skills and online resources. Basic hand tools are required. Specialty tools provided. Must be willing to travel Additional Experience a Plus: Access Control, CCTV and/or Alarm Systems
