About The Position
The Department of Sociology & Anthropology at Ohio Wesleyan University is seeking one or more part-time instructors to teach sections of Introduction to Sociology during the Fall 2026 semester. The courses are offered at specific times on Monday/Wednesday/Friday. There may be opportunities to teach additional courses in the Spring 2027 semester. All classes are taught in-person, as Ohio Wesleyan is a residential, liberal arts institution and does not offer online courses during the spring and fall semesters.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Sociology or a related field (Doctoral candidates will also be considered).
- Experience teaching Sociology courses at the undergraduate level.
- Currently authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to teach in-person.
Responsibilities
- Teach 1 or 2 sections of Introduction to Sociology in the fall 2026 semester.
- Potentially teach additional courses in the Spring 2027 semester, including introductory or upper-level electives.
