About The Position

This role involves coordinating and officiating various intramural sports games and tournaments throughout the school year, including sand volleyball, tennis, basketball, indoor volleyball, dodgeball, and indoor soccer. Student workers are responsible for learning game rules, ensuring safe play, setting up and tearing down equipment, keeping time and score, and recording game results.

Requirements

• Knowledge of various sports is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Learn the rules of each game and regulate games to ensure they are played in a safe manner.
• Perform pre-game set-up and post-game tear-down, which may include raising or lowering gym curtains, setting up and taking down volleyball nets, and storing miscellaneous equipment properly.
• Keep time and score as outlined in the rules of each game and record it after each game.
• Report any damaged or missing equipment that needs replacing.
• Assist in program building for potential new and exciting events for the student body.
• Track attendance at events.
• Be present at events.
• Set up, facilitate during, and tear down events.
