About The Position

This position assists the Athletics department with responsibilities related to intramurals. The role involves supporting UNW intramural in-season sports, aiding in the set-up or take-down of athletic intramural sports, helping maintain the condition of the court/athletic fields, and officiating intramural sporting events. Employees in this role also serve as ministers of the gospel of Jesus Christ by partnering with the University to disciple students and with Northwestern Media to lead people to Christ and nurture believers.

Requirements

Demonstrated knowledge of the basic rules and regulations for the sport(s) assigned and the ability to apply them consistently during competition
Ability to interact with a variety of individuals in a professional, tactful, and courteous manner
Maintain a growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ, reflect His character in all interactions, and faithfully uphold and embrace Northwestern’s mission, Doctrinal Statement and Declaration of Christian Community
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and related software
Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills. Able to promote Northwestern in a compelling and engaging manner.
Prompt, self-motivated, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting responsibilities.
Must pass background check as a condition of employment.
