About The Position

EDUSTAFF is seeking an Interventionist for the 2026/2027 school year. This is a grant-funded position with two options for working hours: Option 1 is 28 hours per week, 7 hours per day, Monday-Thursday. Option 2 is 28 hours per week, 7 hours per day, Tuesday-Friday. The position is located at Oakview and Marquette. The duration of the position is from August 26, 2025, to May 28, 2027. The hourly rate for a certified teacher is $32.77. Continued employment is contingent upon the availability of grant funding.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Education and a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate as required by MDE.
Good communication skills both written and verbal.
Good organizational skills and initiative, ability to work independently.
Ability to collaborate with staff, students and the public.
Ability to implement with student, the strategies learned in training sessions.

Responsibilities

Participate in training before the start of the program, as well as on-going training.
Work closely with classroom teachers, MTSS Coordinator, Literacy Coordinator, and Mathematics Coordinator to support students.
Provide specific literacy and mathematics interventions through push-in or pull-out interventions.
Conduct small group lessons during designated intervention blocks.
Assess, monitor, and communicate student progress.
Effectively manage students within small group learning situations.
Support early childhood transition (K-1) by teaching and reinforcing school and classroom expectations.
Assist with behavioral needs, including implementing de-escalation strategies and facilitating breaks for students acclimating to school.
Provide personal care services as needed, including supporting toileting skills, utilizing visuals and prompting for cleanup procedures, and assisting with locating clean clothing.
Complete all required state and federal documentation, activity logs, including time and effort reports, annual certifications and/or personnel activity reports.
