About The Position

Performs all phases of interventional and neuro-interventional radiologic examinations on pediatric/congenital and/or adult patients in the CVIS in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and with the policies, values, and mission of the organization. - Shift: 8AM-8:30PM (training will be from 7AM-5:30PM when start). - 3 days per week plus On Call (training will begin with 4 days per week). - Ability to scrub for IR or Cardiac Cath Lab highly preferred.

Requirements

  • Accredited Program: Radiology (Required)
  • ACLS Certification_non ecard (ACLS AHA) - American Heart Association (AMERICAN HEART)
  • ARRT_American Registry of Radiology Tech (ARRT) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT LICENSE) - State of Florida (FL)
  • Minimum one (1) year experience required.
  • Must have ACLS Certification (ACLS) within 6 months.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to scrub for IR or Cardiac Cath Lab highly preferred.
  • ACLS Certification (ACLS) within 6 months is preferred for most locations.
  • Must have ACLS Certification (ACLS) and PALS Certification (PALS) within 6 months.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares patients for procedures by reviewing medical history, draping and positioning the patient, preparing procedural/testing sites and administering contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
  • Assists physician with performing diagnostic and vascular interventional procedures (utilizing surgical sterile technique). Reviews results and takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues.
  • Assists with clerical and non-technical duties necessary to department operations, such as documenting procedures into department/hospital information systems, as per departmental policy, recording billing, editing and statistical information in radiology information system, (post-processing and archiving of images to PACS), maintaining and cleaning patient care equipment per infection control standards and evaluating inventory levels, to ensure par level of stock, suitable for the needs of division.
  • Demonstrate the ability to cover call by performing all functions required after hours.
  • Prepares equipment and supplies including sterile trays. Selects appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters. Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
