To provide for the needs of patients of varying ages, their family, and physicians. To perform a variety of patient care tasks and procedures in accordance with licensure, certification, and regulatory requirements. Working in an environment with the application of ionizing radiation for cardiac, neuro, and vascular procedures. A high-volume Electrophysiology (EP) Lab specializing in cardiac ablations, device implants, and structural heart procedures. The lab performs advanced, invasive catheter-based procedures under fluoroscopic guidance, serving as the "electricians of the heart" Procedures include: Cardiac ablations Implantation of permanent pacemakers and implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs) Structural heart procedures, including Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion (LAAO), with Watchman and Amplatzer Amulet implants performed twice monthly All procedures are conducted in a hospital-based environment. Technologists practice at the top of their licensure, with comprehensive on-the-job training alongside an experienced preceptor to build competence and confidence. Additional educational opportunities include: Basic Arrhythmia Recognition (BAR) education ACLS certification A 12-month computer-based learning program through Chart Health Academy Care delivery is supported by a strong, structured team approach, including: Scrub Technician (RT) Circulating RN or RT Registered Nurse (RN) This collaborative model ensures high-quality patient care and procedural efficiency.
