Requirements

• Must possess Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART).
• Must obtain RCIS or RCES within two years of hire date.
• Minimum of four (4) years recent experience in interventional cardiac cath lab or electrophysiology lab
• International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE) Certification (Formerly NASPE) or previous electrophysiology experience.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Prior experience with general vascular, coronary angiography, and electrophysiology.
• Thorough knowledge of cardiac arrhythmia interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Assists physicians during cardiac cath procedures, pacemaker/ICD insertions, electrophysiology, and other miscellaneous procedures by operating the physiologic / hemodynamic monitoring computer and/or scrubbing for invasive cardiac and vascular procedures.
• Provides patient care to adult and geriatric patients.
