About The Position

Competently performs routine and specialized interventional radiology, cardiac catheterization, or electrophysiology procedures to produce quality images for physicians and other health care providers for the diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and prevention of injury or disease. Works independently, exercising sound judgment and clinical skills to execute safe and precise procedures and deliver accurate results in a timely manner. Builds patient and care-team confidence and cooperation through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring, and effective communication. Adheres to local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to protect privacy and safety while providing optimal patient care. May also perform specific procedures and/or teaching duties.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist program.
PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) if caring for pediatric patients.
When working in Cardiovascular Technology, one of the following credentials: ARRT, CRT, RHF if required by the entity, RCIS, CVT, CCT, or RVT.
BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider certification.
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) for SMCS.
Four years of recent relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Use clinical skills and sound judgment to perform safe, precise procedures and provide accurate results in a timely manner.
Assess and monitor patients and communicate effectively with patients, their support groups, and other healthcare providers.
Follow applicable regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to protect patient privacy and safety.
May perform specific procedures and/or teaching duties.
