About The Position
Interventional Radiology Technologists produce radiographs during specialized diagnostic and therapeutic radiology procedures and work alongside physicians and nursing personnel to perform radiographic examinations. They are assigned to a team of physicians, nursing personnel, and technologists to perform specialized examinations such as biopsies and catheter insertions. Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Requirements
- Satisfactory completion of formal x-ray technology training.
- At least three years of experience as an x-ray technologist.
- At least two years of experience as an interventional radiographer.
- ARRT certification.
Responsibilities
- Produce radiographs during specialized radiology diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Work alongside physicians and nursing personnel to perform radiographic examinations.
- Perform specialized radiographic examinations, including biopsies and catheter insertions, as part of a team.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.
