Interventional Radiology Technologist - Full-Time - Mid-Shift
About The Position
NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist to join their team. In this role, you will work on OR procedures assisting Radiologists, including handling and operating equipment and instruments during cases, as well as patient and tray preparation. While this is a technical position with no supervisory responsibility, you will play a critical role in maintaining the premier level of quality, in support of a world-class clinical team. The shift for this position is 11am-7pm, with on-call responsibilities as per department needs, including overnights and weekends. The location is the Columbia campus in Upper Manhattan/Washington Heights. All roles require on-site presence, and employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP. NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduate AMA approved school of radiology
- New York State licensure in Radiography
- Certified by New York State to inject contrast media
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI) (or obtain within 18 months of start date)
- Maintains continuing education credits per American Registry of Radiologic Technologists requirements
- Minimum of one year experience in Diagnostic Imaging
- Proficient in EMR, RIS, PACS, Modality specific software
- Willing to respond for emergency examinations when available
