About The Position

NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist to join their team. This role involves working on OR procedures, assisting Radiologists by handling and operating equipment and instruments during cases, and performing patient and tray prep. While it is a technical position with no supervisory responsibility, the technologist plays a critical role in maintaining the premier level of quality and supporting a world-class clinical team. The position offers an opportunity to utilize expertise and expand knowledge alongside respected professionals in the field. The shift is 11am-7pm, with on-call responsibilities as per department needs, including overnights and weekends. The location is the Columbia campus in Upper Manhattan/Washington Heights.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Graduate AMA approved school of radiology
New York State licensure in Radiography and certified by New York State to inject contrast media
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI). If not held, must obtain certification within 18 months of start date.
Maintains continuing education credits per American Registry of Radiologic Technologists requirements.
Minimum of one year experience in Diagnostic Imaging
Proficient in EMR, RIS, PACS, Modality specific software
Must be willing to respond, if needed, for emergency examinations when available
