About The Position

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment in Evanston, IL. This is a full-time position with day shifts, offering 8hr/10hr shifts. The desired start date is within 2 weeks, with a specific start date of 08/09/2026. The contract duration is 13 weeks. The role involves preparing and positioning patients, assisting physicians with procedures, operating imaging equipment, ensuring sterile techniques, monitoring patients, assisting with patient preparation, preparing equipment and supplies, educating patients, maintaining records, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and ensuring proper operation and maintenance of medical imaging equipment. Adherence to all regulatory, safety, and quality standards in the OBL setting is required.

Requirements

  • Minimum Requirements:
  • Must have 2+ plus years IR experience; Neuro experience is preferred
  • Must have travel experience
  • Must be able to be on call for neuro with 30 min call back time and IR body 45 min call back time
  • Must be able to scrub in with IR MDs for IR complex procedures, Thrombectomies, Pulmonary embos, UFE, Y90
  • Must have current valid ARRT certification.
  • Must have Illinois State License
  • Must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association during employment
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures.
  • Assist physicians with the setup and execution of diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac and/or vascular procedures.
  • Operate and maintain fluoroscopic and other imaging equipment to obtain high-quality images.
  • Ensure sterile techniques and safety protocols are followed throughout each procedure.
  • Monitor and assess patients’ vital signs during procedures.
  • Assist with patient preparation, including IV placement, contrast injection, and other preparatory tasks.
  • Prepares equipment and supplies and sets up sterile equipment trays as needed.
  • Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment, and exam to ensure patient’s understanding and cooperation.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure proper operation and maintenance of medical imaging equipment. Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
  • Select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.
  • Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
  • Adhere to all regulatory, safety, and quality standards in the OBL setting.
