About The Position

Saint Peter's is seeking a talented, compassionate Registered Nurse to join its Interventional Radiology team on a per diem basis. The role involves assessing patients, planning and delivering individualized care, educating patients and significant others, and supporting safe discharge and health maintenance at home. Care must be delivered in accordance with nursing standards, applicable regulations, professional ethics, and institutional policies.

Requirements

• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
• BLS certification approved by the American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification required or to be obtained during clinical orientation.
• Complete a Critical Care course during clinical orientation.
• Obtain Procedural Sedation during clinical orientation.
• Complete an ECG course during clinical orientation.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess the health status of assigned patients in accordance with Nursing Standards.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care based on patient assessment and the Multi-Disciplinary Plan of Care.
• Provide direct patient care or direct and supervise other health team members to ensure appropriate care implementation in accordance with NJ Board of Nursing requirements, regulatory guidelines, the ANA Code of Ethics, and institutional policies and procedures.
• Teach patients and significant others about the health or illness state and plan of care.
• Ensure patients and significant others are prepared for discharge and health maintenance in the home setting.
