About The Position

Saint Peter's is seeking a talented, compassionate per diem Registered Nurse to join its Interventional Radiology team. The hospital has earned its 7th consecutive Magnet designation and its first Magnet with Distinction designation, recognizing exceptional nursing practices and patient outcomes. The nurse assesses assigned patients, plans and delivers individualized care, and evaluates outcomes in accordance with nursing standards and the multidisciplinary plan of care. The role includes providing direct care or directing and supervising other health team members, educating patients and significant others about health conditions and care plans, and ensuring patients are prepared for discharge and health maintenance at home.

Requirements

Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
BLS certification approved by the American Heart Association.
ACLS certification required or to be obtained during clinical orientation.
Critical Care course to be completed during clinical orientation.
Procedural Sedation to be obtained during clinical orientation.
ECG course to be completed during clinical orientation.

Nice To Haves

One year of experience preferred.
BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

Assess the health status of assigned patients in accordance with Nursing Standards.
Plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care based on patient assessment and the Multi-Disciplinary Plan of Care.
Provide direct patient care or direct and supervise other health team members to ensure care is implemented appropriately and in accordance with applicable regulations, professional standards, and institutional policies and procedures.
Teach patients and significant others about health or illness status and the plan of care.
Ensure patients and significant others are prepared for discharge and health maintenance in the home setting.
