About The Position

MaineGeneral Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Interventional Radiology RN to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing exceptional patient care before, during, and after minimally invasive radiology procedures. Responsibilities include patient assessment, education, intra-procedure assistance, and post-procedure monitoring. Proficiency in using radiology equipment, administering sedation, and maintaining sterile environments is essential. Requirements

Active Maine RN licensure or ability to obtain same in a timely fashion, required
Excellent teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills
Proven and demonstrated autonomous critical thinking skills

Nice To Haves

At least 2 years of RN experience, preferred
ED, CCU, or Cath Lab, strongly preferred
Prior experience with conscious sedation, helpful
ACLS preferred upon hire

Responsibilities

Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
Evaluate the learning needs of the patient and/or family and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel.
May precept student nurses and new hires.
