Interventional Radiology Physician Assistant - Delray Medical Center (Palm Beach, Florida)
About The Position
Radiology Partners Palm Beach is seeking an experienced, full-time, certified, Physician Assistant to join our expanding practice and service line at Delray Medical Center in Palm Beach, FL. The ideal candidate will be proficient in providing procedure-based radiology services in both hospital and clinic-based practice settings. The candidate will represent the practice in interactions with hospital staff, referring clinicians, patients, and the health care community in general. We have an established infrastructure for efficient, collaborative workflow throughout our practice. This is a Monday – Friday, 8AM – 4PM position in a fast-paced environment. The primary role is to be a physician extender/substitute for minor procedures. The Physician Assistant will perform physical examinations, determine medical histories, diagnose, and treat illnesses and/or injuries. They will perform or assist procedures such as US paracentesis, thoracentesis, CT bx, and fluoro. They will also perform history and physical examinations of radiology patients, field phone calls from patients, referring physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals regarding patients to identify potential areas of concern in the medical management of the patients, and educate patients on their medical care. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Licensed as a Physician Assistant
- Graduate of an AMA accredited program
- Certification by the National Commission of Physician Assistants
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
Nice To Haves
- ASRT (American Society of Radiologic Technician) Certification preferred
- Two Years Physician Assistant experience preferred
Responsibilities
