About The Position

Sanford Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Interventional Radiologist to join a successful, well-established group of physicians. This is a 100% Interventional Radiology position with strong APP support for clinic and inpatient consults. The department offers a wide range of services, including stroke and pulmonary thrombectomy, cryo, and microwave ablation. Stroke thrombectomy experience is preferred, with proctoring available. The department is equipped with two Single Plane Fluoro units and a dedicated CT Scanner, and the Radiology Department is ACR Accredited. The position offers 12 weeks of vacation for work-life balance and a 1:4 call rotation, with an 8am-5pm M-F schedule when not on call.

Requirements

  • M.D. or D.O. degree.
  • Successful completion of a hospital affiliated Radiology residency program of at least 4 years duration.
  • Successful completion of a clinical fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology of at least 1-year duration accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada in the residency.
  • Certification by the appropriate specialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
  • Applicants who are not board certified at the time of application but who have completed their fellowship training within the last five years shall be eligible, however must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of their residency training unless the appropriate governing Board waives.
  • Demonstrate active involvement in at least 100 Interventional Radiology procedures in the last 24 months.
  • If not applying directly out of fellowship, provide a quality profile from hospital(s) where he/she currently has privileges showing clinical activity for the past 24 months, including numbers of procedures performed, morbidity, mortality, infection rates, and other complications. OR If a quality profile is not available, documentation of the applicant’s clinical activity for the past 24 months will be reviewed.
