About The Position

The Department of Radiology at the University of Colorado Denver is seeking applicants for a full-time radiologist and faculty member in the Interventional Radiology Section. This is an open rank position, with opportunities available at the Sr. Instructor, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor levels. The Division of Vascular and Interventional Radiology at the University of Colorado has a rich history of excellence in clinical innovation, teaching, and research. The IR division at University of Colorado Hospital is integrated within the Heart and Vascular Center, performing approximately 16,000 cases annually across 7 angiography suites. The division offers an inpatient consult service, a short-stay admission unit, a robust outpatient clinic, and provides longitudinal care with a diverse team of physicians, advanced practice providers, and nurse coordinators. They also participate in various multidisciplinary conferences and clinics. Key clinical areas of strength include interventional oncology, peripheral vascular disease, portal and biliary interventions, venous interventions, and percutaneous cholangioscopy. The division is actively involved with a PERT team and multiple clinical trials focusing on embolization, DVT management, and Pulmonary Embolism management. They also have a strong biliary endoscopy program and a growing NIH-funded health services research program concentrating on clinical outcomes, mixed methods research, and pragmatic trials. In the community, the division is experiencing active growth and maintains close clinical partnerships across numerous service lines at three sites: UCHealth Highlands Ranch Hospital, CU Interventional Radiology at Ridgeline (an Outpatient-Based Lab), and an Ambulatory Surgical Center in Lowry. There are significant opportunities within the community practice to lead the expansion of innovative interventional care to the broader Denver metro population in collaboration with colleagues. The candidate will primarily practice within the community-based setting or have a hybrid role involving rotations between community and academic practice sites.
