About The Position

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, through its affiliation with New York City Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst, is seeking a full-time Interventional Radiologist. Elmhurst Hospital Center is a 545-bed tertiary care facility and an ACS-verified level 1 trauma center in Queens, NY. The interventional service is equipped with state-of-the-art imaging technology, including a new Siemens biplane interventional suite, 4 advanced CT scanners, and high-field MRI. The service is supported by a dedicated team of 4 Physician Assistants to optimize workflow and efficiency. This position offers a stable environment with low department turnover, manageable call expectations, and robust clinical support.

Requirements

MD, DO or equivalent from an accredited medical institution
Board certified or eligible in Interventional/Diagnostic Radiology
ACGME-accredited fellowship training in interventional radiology
Valid New York State License, DEA and Medicaid number
Excellent clinical acumen and collegial communication style
A strong commitment to academic teaching and public hospital service

Responsibilities

Perform a broad range of image-guided procedures, including trauma interventions, embolizations, vascular access, drainages, biopsies, and hepatobiliary/genitourinary interventions utilizing our advanced biplane suite and multimodal imaging systems.
Direct and collaborate with 4 dedicated IR Physician Assistants who streamline daily operations, manage floor consults, aid with routine access and minor procedures, and coordinate peri-procedural patient care.
Interface closely with Level 1 trauma surgery, critical care, oncology, vascular surgery, and emergency medicine teams to deliver timely, high-level patient care.
Provide diagnostic interpretation with an emphasis on cross-sectional studies (CT, US, MRI) and vascular imaging.
