About The Position

We are seeking a qualified Interventional Radiologist to provide locum tenens coverage in Las Cruces, NM. This inpatient role requires clinical duties and call coverage for Vascular & Interventional Radiology. The coverage period is ASAP – Ongoing, with a shift schedule of 9a-5:30p and call duties including nights and weekends. The facility is a Level III Trauma center with 99 beds and utilizes the Medhost EMR system. Support staff includes 4 RNs. Temporary privileges are available.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE)
• Licensed in NM
• BLS certification
• Proficiency in performing U/S guided Biopsies
• Proficiency in performing Abdominal Aortagram with bilateral runoffs
• Proficiency in performing Pulmonary Emboli extraction
• Proficiency in performing Periphial angioplasty
• Proficiency in performing TIPS procedure
• Proficiency in performing Tunneled PICC line & Port placement
• Proficiency in performing IVC filters Placement and or removal
• Proficiency in performing Kyphoplasty
• Proficiency in performing Percutanous Bilary drain
• Proficiency in performing Percutanous nephrostomy drain
• Proficiency in performing Dialysis fistula/graft & declotting
• Proficiency in performing Embolization procedures
• Proficiency in performing Coils
• Proficiency in performing Tunnled Hickman & Hemmodialysis catheters
• Proficiency in performing Plurex catheter placements
• Proficiency in performing Mammo procedures
• Proficiency in performing Needle Localization
• Proficiency in performing Sterotactic Biopsies

Responsibilities

• Provide weekend call coverage for Vascular & Interventional Radiology (8a – 8a)
• Cover night call shifts from 5:30p – 9a as needed
• Respond to beeper call within 30 minutes
• Perform day coverage procedures (9a – 5:30pm) on specified dates
• Manage inpatient consults and phone consults (3-5 per shift)
