About The Position

We are seeking an Interventional Radiologist Physician to support the Veteran community in the Syracuse, NY area. This position is open to all candidates, including Locum or Traveling professionals. The role involves direct patient care, with an estimated 95% of the time dedicated to clinical and on-call coverage for Interventional Radiology procedures. An estimated 5-10% of the time is administrative. Requirements

Authorization to work in the U.S. permanently, without sponsorship.
Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in allopathic medicine or osteopathic medicine.
Current license to practice medicine in New York State.
Board Certified per the American Board of Radiology
Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)

Previous experience with the VA is a plus

Responsibilities

Provide on-site clinical and on-call coverage for Interventional Radiology.
Perform procedures including, but not limited to: Angiography, Balloon Angioplasty/stent placement, Biliary intervention, Biopsies (CT guided and Ultrasound guided) including Lung, Liver, Renal, Lymph Node, Thyroid, Parotid, Bone, Bone Marrow, etc., Central Line insertion/assessment, Chemoembolization, Dialysis access & related interventions, Drain/tube insertions and exchanges including Biliary, Nephrostomy, Chest, NU stent, Cholecystostomy, Abscess, Suprapubic, etc., Embolization, Joint injections, IVC filters, Lumbar Puncture, Myelograms, Paracentesis, Radiologically inserted gastrostomy, Thoracentesis, Vertebroplasty.
